Introduction

TimesFlow ("we", "our", or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use the TimesFlow desktop application and related services, as well as the rights available to you.

Please read this Policy carefully before using our software. By using the software, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please discontinue use of the software.

2

Information We Collect

TimesFlow collects the following data locally on your device:

  • Application names, process names, and bundle identifiers of actively used applications
  • Time spent in each application and usage time periods
  • Custom categories, labels, goals, and focus mode settings you create
  • Window titles (only when this feature is explicitly enabled by you)

If you choose to register or sign in, we collect basic information provided through Apple, Google, or email registration, including your email address, display name, and avatar (if authorized).

To ensure service stability and compatibility, we collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and application version.

When you sign in to an account, your tracking records are uploaded to our servers over an encrypted TLS connection so that you can sync and restore across devices. We do not sell or share these records with third parties.

3

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Core Services: Generating activity statistics, efficiency analytics, time reports, and gamification features from your tracking data
  • Account Management: Authentication, session management, and cross-device synchronization (if enabled)
  • Security: Security audits, fraud detection, and troubleshooting service issues
  • Product Improvement: Anonymized and aggregated statistical analysis to improve features and user experience, without associating such data with your personal identity
4

Local Storage + Cloud Encryption

Data is stored locally on your device (offline-ready) and, whenever you're online, encrypted and synced to our servers over TLS

Tracking data is kept on your device so that the app works offline and you never lose records without a network. Whenever you are online, the same records are encrypted in transit over TLS and stored on our servers so that you can sync and restore across devices. We do not sell these records or share them with third parties outside of the service providers listed in this Policy.

When sync is enabled, data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. We employ industry-standard security measures including data encryption, access controls, and security audits on our servers.

You control the retention period for local data. Server-side data is retained for a reasonable period necessary to provide services, or as required by applicable law. After account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe.

5

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only: (1) with your explicit consent; (2) with service providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations; or (3) when required by applicable law or legal process.

6

Your Rights and Control

You retain control over both your local data and the copy stored on our servers:

  • Access and review your data at any time through in-app features
  • Export your tracking data in common formats using the in-app export feature
  • Delete all local data by clearing app data or uninstalling the application
  • Control which applications are tracked and pause tracking at any time
  • Request deletion of server-side data by contacting us at the email below
  • Withdraw consent by disabling sync, signing out, or stopping use of the software
7

Children's Privacy

This software is designed primarily for adult users. If you are under 14 years of age (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), please use this software only with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8

International Data Transfers

If you use cloud sync, your data may be transferred to and processed on servers outside your region. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that appropriate safeguards are in place.

9

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy on this page and updating the date above. Your continued use of the software after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
