TimesFlow Documentation

Everything you need to get productive with TimesFlow — from install and first launch to advanced features, privacy, and frequently asked questions.

1

Install TimesFlow

Download the latest build from the Download page. macOS users: drag TimesFlow.app into Applications and launch it once. Windows users: run the installer and follow the prompts.

2

Grant system permissions

On macOS, grant Accessibility in System Settings → Privacy & Security so TimesFlow can read the foreground app and window title. Permissions are the only way automatic tracking can work — TimesFlow never sees your screen content or keystrokes.

3

Sign in (optional)

Signing in is optional. With an account, your tracking data is encrypted in transit over TLS and mirrored to the cloud so you can restore on a new device or see stats across machines. Without an account, everything stays on your device.

4

Explore your first day

After a few hours of use, open the Dashboard to see today's time distribution, then check the Timeline for a minute-by-minute view. Give it a week before drawing conclusions — automatic tracking gets more valuable the more history it has.
